Infant and Toddler Center Proceeds from the The Blue Hill Troupe’s productions will benefit The
Infant and Toddler Center (ITC). ITC is designed to assist the
mothers in the Rights of Passage Program, a transitional living
facility, with the daily responsibilities of raising a child in order
for them to obtain employment, further their education, and develop the
necessary skills to become self-sufficient and independent.
The Infant/Toddler Center provides similar services as a daycare center.
In addition, the ITC program teaches toddlers basic learning skills and
ensures that the infants receive proper nurturing. The ITC program
focuses on three main areas in a child’s development: intellectual,
social and emotional, and physical.
In order for the mothers to have an active role in this process,
parenting classes are held once a week providing support and guidance in
caring for the child. Mothers also receive report cards on the progress
of the child to have a clear understanding of theirs child’s growth and
maturity.
Since established, the ITC program has served more than 200 children.
Currently, ITC has the capability of serving 22 children per day.
